If you didn't know let me bring you in on the tea the jewelry industry has been hiding for a while...Traditional gold plating uses cyanide baths and thin electroplated layers that physically separate from the base metal over time. What we use, PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a vacuum-based process with no liquid chemicals, no cyanide, no acid baths — the gold is atomically bonded to the 316L substrate at a molecular level. Which is why it doesn't flake, peel, or expose a toxic base underneath. Because there are no toxins here.
