Shipping policy

We’re so glad you’re here. At Louise Carter, we’re committed to making sure your jewelry arrives safely and beautifully. Here’s everything you need to know about how we process and ship your order.

 

Free Shipping

We offer free standard shipping on all orders over $54 USD. This is automatically applied at checkout.

Order Processing and Confirmation

Once you place your order, you’ll receive an order confirmation email. Please check this carefully. If anything is incorrect — such as your shipping address or item selection — contact us immediately at

December Holiday Period:
Due to the high volume of orders in December, please allow up to 10 business days for your order to be processed, packed, and dispatched. We work as quickly as possible, but extended processing times are expected throughout the holiday season.

Christmas Delivery Notice:
Please note that we cannot guarantee delivery before Christmas for any orders placed from 5 December onwards. Postal delays and holiday congestion vary by region and are outside our control.

Please double-check your shipping address and order details before confirming. If the information provided at checkout is inaccurate, we are not liable for parcels sent to the wrong address.
If you spot an issue after placing your order, reach out immediately so we can try to correct it before fulfilment.

We do not ship to military bases or APO addresses.
If you place an order to an APO, we’ll contact you to request a standard street address. If one is not provided within a reasonable timeframe, your order will be cancelled and refunded.

Once your order has been fulfilled, we are unable to make any changes. This includes address updates, product swaps, or cancellations. Please ensure everything is correct before the order is marked as fulfilled.

 

Shipping Timeframes

Once your order has been shipped, standard delivery usually takes 8 to 15 business days, depending on your location.

You’ll receive tracking information via email once your parcel leaves the warehouse.

Louise Carter is not liable for delivery delays caused by factors outside of our control. This includes customs delays, weather events, limited flight availability, or postal disruptions.

 

Pre-Order Items

If your order includes a pre-order item, please refer to the estimated dispatch timeframe listed on the product page.

 

Customs, Duties, and Tariffs

All international parcels may be subject to customs duties, taxes, and import tariffs as determined by the destination country’s authorities. These charges are applied independently of Louise Carter and are outside of our control.

For U.S. customers:
As of August 2025, U.S. Customs requires duties and taxes to be paid on all international shipments before delivery, regardless of order value. These fees are set and collected directly by U.S. Customs and couriers on their behalf. For more information, please see the official U.S. Customs and Border Protection announcement:

Important notes:

  • Louise Carter does not determine or receive any portion of these charges.
  • All import duties, taxes, or tariffs are the responsibility of the customer.
  • Failure to pay duties/taxes may result in your parcel being held, returned, or cancelled by customs.


Bundle and Duplicate Order Issues

We’re currently experiencing a system issue where some customers are accidentally adding more items than paid for when building their bundle.

If this happens, your order will:

  • Be placed on hold

  • Be delayed by 2 to 3 business days while we manually correct the order

  • May be cancelled and marked as potentially fraudulent if a large number of unpaid items were added and it appears intentional

Please note:
We will only fulfill the items covered by the amount paid — usually the first items added to your cart. If you continued adding or editing items after checkout started, the final order might not include the products you expected.

To avoid delays and ensure you receive the items you want:

  • Always double-check your cart before checking out

  • Review your order confirmation email carefully after payment

  • If it looks like more items are listed than what you paid for, contact us immediately at

Safe Delivery & Liability

The delivery method is determined by your local courier or postal service. We are unable to request signature on delivery or provide custom drop-off instructions on your behalf.

We can ship to PO Boxes unless your country’s local courier restrictions prevent it. If your property doesn’t have a secure location for parcels — for example, it’s located on a busy road or in a shared entryway — we strongly recommend using an alternative shipping address.

Louise Carter is not liable for stolen parcels once tracking shows successful delivery to the address provided.

 

Returned Parcels

If a parcel is returned to us due to failed delivery attempts, an incorrect address, or not being collected from the post office, we will contact you once it’s received back. We’re happy to reship your order or offer store credit.

Please note: Parcels marked as “return to sender” can take several weeks to arrive back depending on your location and carrier.
